Roma consider loan move for Chelsea winger Garnacho

The Giallorossi are reportedly monitoring the situation of Alejandro Garnacho at Chelsea, as the Premier League club might be open to a loan or even a permanent transfer for the winger.

Roma are actively searching for dynamic wingers to complement their attack, in line with coach Gian Piero Gasperini's tactical plans. Their qualification for the Champions League after a seven-year absence further enhances their appeal to potential targets.

While their primary target, Mason Greenwood of Olympique Marseille, appears out of reach, Roma are now considering the unsettled talent Garnacho.

Garnacho on Roma's radar

According to transfer expert Alfredo Pedullà of Sportitalia, the 22-year-old Argentinian winger has re-emerged as a possibility for the Serie A club, having been close to a move to Napoli last summer.

Chelsea acquired Garnacho from Manchester United for a significant fee of €46.2 million in August 2025, but he has struggled to secure consistent playing time.

It is yet to be determined whether Chelsea will opt to loan Garnacho out to aid his development or consider a permanent sale.

Roma could potentially propose a deal involving a loan with an option to buy at the end of the season.

Reports from English sources, including Graeme Bailey of TEAMtalk, suggest that Chelsea's asking price for a permanent transfer would be around €72 million, a figure that is unlikely to fit within Roma's budget.
