According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Barcelona aims to incorporate 19-year-old full-back Héctor Fort into a deal to sign Alessandro Bastoni from Inter this summer. The Catalan club is still interested in the Italian and Inter centre-back, and reports suggest they are keen to include one of their defenders in a player-plus-cash exchange.
Inter reportedly values Bastoni at €60 million, but Barcelona hopes to lower this valuation by offering Héctor Fort. The 19-year-old defender is currently on loan at Elche but has been sidelined since January due to a shoulder injury. He had a strong start to the season, scoring two goals and providing two assists in his first 12 appearances.
Previous reports indicated that Bastoni is open to a move to Barcelona, potentially influenced by the negative reception he has faced at Italian stadiums recently. It was also previously stated that Bastoni was already in discussions regarding contract terms with Barcelona, aware that Inter would not sanction his departure without a substantial fee.
